Mike Alvarado

Chief Operating Officer, Chief Legal Officer, Vice President and Secretary

Mike Alvarado was appointed Chief Operating Officer in February 2024 and has served as the Company’s Chief Legal Officer, Vice President and Secretary since May 2016. Previously, he served as General Counsel for our management company starting in 2011. Mr. Alvarado has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate sector, including master-planned communities and commercial segments, as well as industrial, office, and retail. Mr. Alvarado oversees day-to-day operations and legal affairs for the Company, including oversight of residential and commercial land sales and development activity within the communities owned and managed by FivePoint. Among other things, he also manages the Company’s risk management and human resources functions.

Before joining FivePoint in 2011, Mr. Alvarado was a real estate attorney at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP for 19 years, where he was a Partner and managed the firm’s Orange County real estate practice group. At the firm, he represented public and private real estate companies, operators, and financial institutions in real estate development, investment, sale, leasing and financing transactions throughout the country.

Mr. Alvarado has been a guest lecturer at the USC Gould School of Law. He is a member of the California and Orange County Bar Associations and served for many years on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for NAIOP SoCal, the leading commercial real estate development trade association in Los Angeles and Orange counties. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and a J.D. from Stanford University.
